SHANGRI-LA VISITORS CENTRE

Architectural concept design and planning for a visitors centre in Ya Ding, south of the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Region in Sichuan which has also been called Shangri-La.

 

With an altitude of 2900m, this project location belongs to the Mountain and Gorge Scenic Spot and we were commissioned to provide a visitors centre of 1244sqm which included public service areas, commercial streets and transport facilities all integrated into the natural surroundings using a local vernacular.
